I have to say that I’m kind of unimpressed. The cover just looks so horrible photshopped, and why are the only two ethnicities represented white and black? There are so many beautiful, interesting asian, latin american, indian etc. models that could have been chosen. Quite boring, in my opinion.
Although Liya, Natalia and Isabeli look fantastic.

Steven Meisel has always picked the one who’s THE girl tomorrow. Natasha Poly established her career already, and regardging the versatility of bookings Anna J. did for this year, together with wide range of editorials, she’s the next. And it’s a bit politics always: the cover unites IMG, Women, Marilyn, DNA and Next. Surprise?

It is quite horrible that we’re all SO grateful just because actual models, and not some celebrities are gracing the cover of one of the leading fashion magazines in the world, don’t you all think? I mean, we all know this is how it always should be - I hope we will get to see the girls more often, instead of Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston. But even so, these pics look kind of lukewarm - I’m afraid Meisel hasn’t done such a great job this time. There they are - some of the best girls in the business - and they’re looking tired and unmotivated, and it’s hardly their fault; we all know Natasha and Co. can rock. Besides, am I the only who thinks the lighting is bad? It is as if they wanted to make all the girls look disturbingly similar - hardly a joyous manifesto of diversity. I won’t even mention the styling - usually a bombshell, Lara looks like a confused kid due to the makeup, and the one who styled Natalia’s fringe deserves to be dismissed.
Hope the mods are not angry my post got so long. I would like to hear your opinion on some of the aforementioned “issues”.

The looong wait is definitely over! But I was surprised to see Ana J on the cover with the legendary Liya and Natalia! Remember August 2004, with Gisele, Daria and Natalia on the cover? I guess they should put Coco Rocha or Lakshmi! I am not into Ana J although she has quite a portfolio too! I think for the cover it has to be Natalia, Liya and Natasha! Meisel forgot Julia stegner!

I DON’T THINK Anna J SHOULD BE ON THE COVER, I THINK COCO ROCHA SHOULD BE IN HER PLACE OR LILY DONALDSON OR JULIA STEGNER BUT I THINK COCO IS THE MOST IMPRESSIVE ONE.

There was a cover 2 or 3 years ago with some of those girls like requel and caroline and chanel and coco and agyness that i thought was perfect as those girls were the it girls 2 years ago…but this, they mixed new and old..anna j and liya?.i think every 2 years vogue should issue a cover with the latest blue chip girls…and every cover should have different faces then the previous one. they missed alot on this i think like lily, jessica stam and more….oh dont forget daria.

I would like to talk about the rivalry between Brazilian and Russian models … we can observe is that the Brazilian will end with the monotony of fashion with their faces and attitudes of those who always show needs to be valued at twice the different girls and born of Eastern Europe, is proof that Gisele Bundchen has everything a professional would be the fashion and never will be!

I agree with raie (t would be nice if they had Hye Park, Daul Kim AND Lakshmi). We know that Lakshmi has a nice Goa story inside. Liya looks so gorgeous as ever. Not loving Natalia’s hair. I for one love that Anna J. got the cover; it’s so unexpected and fun. Jourdan rules the foldout imo. So sleek and beautiful in that gazelle-like Marisa Berenson way.

Gorgeous but over-photoshopped.
I personally find the choice of models quite confusing. There are new models, then models who have been around for a while, then models which could possibly retire in the near future. I think that the cover should have been focused on more new models.
Anna J, yeah, she’s new, Karlie Kloss, perhaps? Toni Garrn deserved to be on the cover. I think they should have included an Asian model too.

I guess who is on the main cover is not up to Meisel. Vogue editor Anna picks them too. I would love to see different nationality on the cover like Lakshmi and Liu Wen. Have you ever seen an Asian model or celeb on Amarican Vogue? Maybe when the amarican president is Asian one day. The models look beautifully photoshoped. Much better to repeat Jen or Rees on the cover, boring!!!

I LUV THE FACT THAT THEIR MODELS ON THE COVER ISTEAD OF STUPID CELEBRITIES WHO CANT’T MODEL FOR THEIR LIVES, AND I’M ALSO HAPPY THAT THEY HAVE TWO BLACK MODELS ON THE COVER!!But the styling made them all look the SAME!! i mean c’mon now, they look all alike, they have should,ve pick styles that made them look a much more unique!!!
