The Original

Before Mark and Tyson, there was Jeff. Discovered in 1978 by Bruce Weber, Jeff Aquilon is considered by many to be the first male supermodel. Jeff returns to the front of the camera once again in a shoot by Hedi Slimane, styled by Jay Massacret for VMan #19, their special “Age” issue. VMan interviews the California father of four to find out what he’s been up to since rolling around with Paulina Porizkova on a beach. It’s easy to see why Jeff left such an indelible mark on the industry; his classic features remain eternally iconic. Only in VMan, available everywhere September 9th.

Jeff was the top of the heap, no doubt. Fords crowning glory on the men’s side. Bruce Hulse and Rick Edwards were up there but not the top and as iconic as Mr. Aquilon
