Fresh face Codie Young snags adorable floral cover by Nicole Bentley, but eagle-eyed model fans may remember her from a 50s themed editorial by Derek Henderson inside September’s issue. The pink floral cover is a refreshingly girly choice for fall and Codie’s doll like features remind us of the incredible babyfaced Aussie sensations to debut in previous years; Abbey, Gemma, Miranda, the list goes on. Could Codie be the girl to watch come S/S 11? Let us know what you think!

I don’t like her look. She is very pretty, but slightly boring and alien-looking.
I wish the modeling industry would return to more classic beauties like Daria or Anna J, instead of churning out look-alikes every season.

The cover was shot by Nicole Bentley and that 50’s story by Henderson was actually in the September issue. 🙂

Before Abbey there is,was GEMMA, corect your writting…How can you put Abbey in front of Gemma? Who to this date my oppinion noone can rip her off,nomatter she is fat or slim… She is genius of a generation!!!

marsko, Miranda debuted before Gemma and Abbey and she was put last. It’s not a big deal. The article isn’t even about them, so she wasn’t trying to mention every Australian model ever and her individual impact on the industry.

What does this even have to do with Gemma? She was mentioned once in passing along with other girls. The era of Gemma is over and people need to just deal with it already. She quit modeling and is living her life happily. She wasn’t that serious, there were like 10 girls with that same look who all came out around the same time. How is she a genius? Did she cure cancer or something?
Codie is fresh, she is her own person, there are so many fabulous new girls this season, people need to stop living in the past already.

It’s quite a beautiful cover. I like Codie and I hope the local hype won’t make people tired of her before she even hits the big scene. Let’s face it, no one cares about Vogue Australia (as a tastemaker), yet I see headlines about Codie being the next Gemma. I mean, come on… I like how they tend to be very supportive of their models down under, but sometimes the hype isn’t exactly rooted in reality. And it won’t help the girl.

I agree with some of you about the same clothes being in EVERYTHING! I loved them at first, but I am getting quite sick of seeing Miu Miu, Prada and Vuitton in every editorial. The Sept Issue of American Vogue was a Louis Vuitton frenzy!! And that yellow Miu Miu dress with the neck bow…I’m over it and it’s not even october yet.

Janelle.. you’re seriously rockin’ right about now…rockin!! Love it.
And I am loving this cover. Flowers do it for me too. The Miu Miu dress is perhaps a bit used at this point but it does look pretty lovely here. It’s like the macrame/ lace dress from Prada F/W 08 (apperently Luca Luca was a couple of years to early to enjoy the love of such a look) Alas Prada’s was much sexier.
The other photos are quite lovely also though they beckon for the presence of Georgina Stojilkovic – especially the 3rd image.

She looks fresh but a bit freaky on the cover.
Many Australia magazines like Vogue and Bazaar showcase A/W collection in summer or S/S collection in winter here just to follow the interenational trends.
The international big designer brand like Prada, Gucci and Vuitton are selling the current season in Australia like now is Winter collection even Australia is hitting Spring in few days.The other brands like French Connection, Armani Exchange and Nine West are selling the last seasons (S/S collection) in summer in Australia.WE are actually buting sale iterms (in overseas) with full-price.
