February 2nd, 2009 Janelle comments (22)Fashion fans old enough to remember things like Vogue pre-Wintour and non-vintage Halston are already familiar with the work of Richard Avedon, the name alone instantly conjures images of ultimate glamor This month Solve Sundsbo looks to the past for inspiration, transforming the new generation of models into vintage vixens. Early 80s Avedon and the models of that era – Iman, Paulina, Jerry and more – were the inspiration behind Sundsbo’s latest Vogue Nippon story. Jourdan Dunn, Anne Vyalitsyna, Magdalena Frackowiak & Bianca Balti all look ready for Studio 54 as they vamp it up for the cameras. The end result is arresting and oh so retro – were reminded of the classic Revlon ads and their tagline. Unforgettable.
