Sebastian Faena meets the legendary Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele in the next issue of V (No. 66!) and the result is a hot, pop-driven tabloid tinged 12 page fashion story that is so much fun it practically vibrates on the page. Celebrating the timely Argentinian concept of “botineras” or footballer’s wives (just in time for the World Cup), the gorgeous cast includes Eniko Mihalik, Dree Hemingway, Simon Nessman, Constance Jablonski, Alessandra Ambrosio, Maryna Linchuk, Martin Landgreve and Jacques Naude.     That Footballer’s Wives pic looks like something you could see on milf porn movies. Even the title could be one of those porn titles. Again…it’s not fashion. It’s playboy.

    Im Sorry,
    This story should have been given to Steven Miesel as it is a bad copy of what he does best. I think that he (Steven) would have been able to get better models and embrace the feel of the story so much better that what has been shot. I really think that VI dropped the ball with this shoot. It’s the World Cup 2010 and the casting of models made it look like it was a college game with 2nd string players from 2006. JMI it is a waste of a good story.

    Yay for Carlyne, what an amazing stylist.

    Eniko is the sexiest model around, she’s very lucky, she will be able to do a lot of commercial stuff after her high fashion moment is over.

    And Constance is just perfect, I didn’t like her at all at first, but she’s been getting better and better with time.
