Muse Appeal

November 29th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Muse Magazine returns with two stellar new covers that showcase the beauty of two of our favorite faces. Beau Grealy brings out the bohemian in Aline Weber with a witchy shoot that capitalizes on Aline’s posing skills. Styled by Sarah Ellison-Prat and featuring the best in fringed, embellished and embroidered looks, the woodsy shoot and its eerie vibe showcase a fresh side of Aline.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Meghan Collisons cover shoot with Amy Troost  is all about the contemporary wardrobe and all its sleek trappings. With an appealing selection of minimal looks chosen by Beth Fenton and a stark black background, the focus is all on Meghan and how she brings the pieces to life.

First Look: Optology

November 27th, 2013 |Posted by models.com

The beguiling little British magazine Optology has already caught our eye with their second issue. Featuring cover models Simon Sabbah and Sylvester Ulv Henriksen, the magazine looks and feels like a catalog from the early 20th century. The magazine’s title, an archaic word referring to the study of sight is an interesting summation of the slim and beautifully printed issue. Models.com has a preview of the 2 cover stories below.

Sandstorm

November 27th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Julia Noni‘s atmospheric style of photography never fails to leave an impression on viewers. In her latest story for Vogue Japan, Noni takes to the dunes to create an ethereal tribute to furs, jewels and the decadent treasures of the season. Emily Baker shines in Noni’s striking images, adding a serene presence to the pared down nudes, while makeup artist Jurgen Braun adds the final touch of elegance via soft colors & a subtle touch.

Sparkle

November 26th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Karmen Pedaru shines in the pages of Vogue Turkey in a stylized shoot from Cuneyt Akeroglu. The December issue kicks the holiday cheer off early with a glittering feature styled by Konca Aykan. Sporting bleached brows and crimson lips created by Lisa Eldridge, Karmen is a glamorous and at times otherworldly muse. In contrast to the sleek cover and high gloss editorial, the simple black and white shots accompanying Pedaru’s interview offer another take on one of fashion’s most wanted beauties.

Donatella’s Stars

November 25th, 2013 |Posted by Janelle

Lady Gaga‘s surprisingly understated ad for Versace accessories is one of the most talked about campaigns of the moment, but the Versace love affair with fame goes way back. Every few seasons Donatella enlists a star from the world of film, tv or music to pout and preen in the brand’s memorable campaigns and over the years they’ve racked up an impressive array of luminaries. Versace will always be synonymous with the supermodel era but they’re equally known for their connection to the world of celebrity. Star power has always been one of the driving forces behind Versace’s appeal on and off the red carpet – take a look back at some of the famous faces to front ads for the legendary label.

160g Relaunch

November 22nd, 2013 |Posted by victoria

As fashion increasingly embraces the Internet, the relaunch of French online magazine 160g, comes at the perfect time. 160g’s new creative and fashion director Benjamin Armand tells us: “My goal for the magazine is to use more video and gif images for the fashion story… Photos are still more important but almost all our fashion stories will have a little video clip/gif. I also want to have a full gif story in each issue.” Inspired by Japanese fashion and culture, this issue (which focuses mainly on men’s fashion this season) features quite an impressive lineup of male model talent, from Harry Goodwins to Fernando Cabral to hot cover face Sylvester Ulv Henriksen. The two covers are shot by Emmanuel Giraud, just one of the many talented up and coming photographers featured throughout the magazine.

Preview the Fall/Winter 13-14 issue below and see the full issue online next week.
