Mas Sexy

June 22nd, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

The battle for sexiest model continues and you better believe that Adriana Lima isn’t giving up the title without a fight. V Spain showcases the supermodel’s sensuous side with an alluring cover by Mario Sorrenti. The combination of Adriana’s come hither gaze, the barely there lingerie and Sorrenti’s signature slinky style, makes for a powerful image.

Into the Groove

June 21st, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Vogue Russia serves up a dose of in your face beauty with a lively editorial from Terry Tsiolis starring Sedene Blake, Jeneil Williams, Reina Montero, Shena Moulton and Aminata Niaria. The studio shoot is elevated by Simon Robins‘ color coordinated styling; pieces from Lagerfeld, Viktor and Rolf and Topshop are mixed together to create a series of seamless ensembles, but the clothes aren’t the only standout. Each of the girls brings her own flair to the story with graceful and energetic poses; whether they’re fighting over a camo-fanny pack or moving to the rhythm, they look stunning.

Road Warriors

June 19th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

Burberry Prorsum just streamed live and as with last season, select pieces will be available right off the runway until June 26th. Besides the classic Burberry pieces and military themes, two themes seemed to be prevalent. Knights and samurais came to mind with the appearance of “armor” like vests and coats. Modern day heroes of the road got their chance in the sun with motorcycle jackets and vests, some covered in dangerously exciting studs. Mr. Bailey, you’ve done it again! Watch it here, now and order away.

A Girl’s Best Friend

June 18th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

This month’s American Vogue declares that “Girls who once dressed for their inner rocker don’t want to hum that tune anymore“. This return to the clean and classic is epitomized in this appealing Vogue Russia editorial by Ben Weller. Featuring the mysterious Antonella Graef, the Simon Robins styled jewelry editorial reveals the flirtatious and seductive side of the Argentine who wears the season’s prettiest accessories. As Marilyn Monroe said best, “Talk to me Harry Winston”!

Bright Star

June 18th, 2010 |Posted by Betty

The S/S 11 Men’s shows started off with an early bang as Jil Sander broadcast live yesterday at Pitti Uomo. A glorious green Tuscan garden provided the perfect backdrop and contrast to the eye-popping collection. Not since June 2009 has Raf Simons made such a statement with bold color like this.  If there’s one brand who can do color right and still keep it pristine, it’s most definitely Raf for Jil. Check out the runway video here on Jil Sander’s site.
