Anna Dello Russo is the best! See Anna’s life story in Japanese manga format. I still can’t decide 100% if it is really her blog but it’s so over the top, it probably is.

This incredible fashion shoot by Simon Procter for Vs Magazine is given some good lovin’ by Sans Artifice.

Many of you know that Tara Subkoff is recovering from brain cancer. Read her interview with Harper’s Bazaar about her journey.

I’ve met Justin Gelband and he most definitely is intense. I see why Victoria’s Secret stars and Sports Illustrated beauties go to him to be trained.

I loved American Elle growing up in the 80’s. It was joyful, inclusive and still aspirational. Jezebel compares the 1986 May issue with this month’s issue.

Did Anna Wintour really have a brief affair with Bob Marley in the 70’s? Oh Anna you naughty girl, you.

You gotta love Jezebel playing detective. Is Kimora Lee Simmons head really on Daria Werbowy’s body?

Ohhhh yeaaaahhh! It’s about time. Models edge out celebrities for fashion ads. WWD lists some of the major houses for fall.

Models Myf Shepherd (who is in art school) and Rachel Rutt are doing anonymous interviews with fashion insiders for MUTT; should be quite interesting.

Speaking of boobs, here are Jonathan Leder’s pics/video of his new work for Jacques. His work always seem tasteful and respectful to women; some consider him the anti Terry.

Hmmm, what are those birds diving towards? Click here to see more polaroids of great new face Johannes Niermann. Johannes walked Burberry, Zegna, Prada and Viktor & Rolf this past January.

Shades of Armor

April 28th, 2010 |Posted by contributor

Spring may have a bit of trouble arriving here in NY but that doesn’t mean the onslaught of eyewear ads have stopped. The men’s eyewear campaigns are proving their undeniable love for aviators. Dolce & Gabbana chose a gold rimmed aviator style for their S/S 10 campaign while Prada opted for a white rimmed one. Hugo Boss offers a simplistic take on the style with a classic black rim pair. The aviators seem to be the preferred style by stylists as well, several making their way into a British GQ editorial showing the fluid transition from an athletic to a western look. Other popular shapes? Burberry‘s rectangular frame is unusual, while Ermenegildo Zegna did their take on the classic Rayban Wayfarer shape. Mysterious, sexy, practical. Are you tempted to pick up any of these? (story by Arianna Gross)

Pretty In Pink

April 27th, 2010 |Posted by Janelle

Karmen Pedaru has the confidence and sex appeal to play the femme fatale, but David Vasiljevic takes her into softer territory for Numero Tokyo. The candy colored cover is almost sugary sweet, but in the editorial Karmen looks as strong as ever. Charles Varenne‘s styling keeps things delicate and girlish; lots of lace, a little Chanel tweed and of course, loads of pink, the combination is wonderful.
