Matteo Martari is on a roll – the current Model of the Week hits the slopes for Hercules magazine. Showing off his skill with skis and a knack for extreme poses Matteo shines in Giampaolo Sgura‘s wintry story. The sporty and adventurous theme of the editorial suits Matteo’s athletic look just perfectly and all that snow makes us yearn a little ski break of our own.

While there is no shortage of magazines worth reading, hearing about another cool publication is always a bonus. The Room Magazine is already on its 10th issue but its irreverent sensibility and choice editorials featuring the very best of Hungarian talent are completely fresh. Check out the always stunning Eniko Mihalik going au naturel for Marton Perlaki in an editorial that showcases her undeniable beauty and unselfconscious ease in front of the camera. On the flipside Kinga Rajzak‘s unparalleled ability to pull off the most avant garde creations is put to the test in a sensational story featuring Ali Toth‘s and Aniko Virag‘s daring styling. Two great covers – two amazing girls – all the more reason to pick up a copy.

Perception Is Reality

October 21st, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

Fashion naysayers may have written Miranda Kerr off as simply being an angel but the Aussie cutie is out to change a few minds with her latest ventures into high fashion. Following her very talked about turn on the Balenciaga runway, Miranda is set to appear in the brand new issue of V. Starring alongside the equally lovely Ana Beatriz Barros in Willy Vanderperre‘s vision of the postmodern pinup is a very good way to kick of an editorial resurgence and from the looks of the pictures the story itself is sure to excite. Olivier Rizzo‘s sensual yet demure pinup inspired styling is already catching our eyes.

Do you like the new high fashion Miranda or are you a fan of her more mainstream work?

Vogue Paris knows how to tantalize us. Their November cover was a complete and utter surprise, from the selection of Brazilian superstar Isabeli Fontana (racking up her third VP cover) to the Keith Haring meets wild warrior theme, each element was a jolt to the senses. Just what does David Simscouture spectacular hold in store for us? Only Carine & co. know for sure but we’re guessing it’s going to be good. Love the tribal styling courtesy of Carine Roitfeld herself.

Hedi Slimane is the master of the evocative black and white image. His pictures are always simple, moving and more often than not feature the beauty of a lean nude frame.  Magdalena Frackowiak is the latest model to strip down for Slimane’s lens and her series of sensual shots for Man About Town is a perfect example of Hedi at his best. The pictures are sexy without ever seeming over the top and Magdelena’s natural beauty shines through in every image.
