Good Girls Dont…

May 20th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

There are two sides to Hilary Rhoda. One is the pristine, apple cheeked all-American face of luxurious brands like Estee Lauder and Balenciaga. This Hilary can be found between the pages of Vogue or Bazaar looking elegant and aspirational while channeling the ghost of late 70s Brooke Shields. Then there is the 2.0 version – the Hilary who looks right at home in Sports Illustrated and is currently leaving little to the imagination in the latest i-D courtesy of Todd Cole. This souped up, sexed up (watch your back Lara Stone) uninhibited Rhoda is making more and more appearances of late and as the budding supermodel diversifies her brand things get steamier and steamier…

Could an SI cover slot be the next item on the agenda?

Jourdan Dunn continuously displays her prowess in editorials for the best magazines and this month is no different. Vogue Russia lets Jourdan’s versatility shine as she tries on several different looks for size. Jason Kibbler shoots as Jourdan plays each part with expertise – the only thing that could make this cooler would be if there were backgrounds to match each dramatic ensemble.

In one of the most endearingly random developments perhaps ever Lara Stone‘s youthful exuberance is pitted against actor Morgan Freeman‘s sagely presence in the latest US Vogue. Bruce Weber photographs the pair as they travel through the streets of Miami. How did Miss Stone take to the Big Easy? Describing her experiences the Dutch beauty states simply “It was such a cool environment.” From the looks of these pictures it would seem she had a wonderful time – does the Freeman / Stone match up work for you? Will Lara turn up in The Dark Knight sequel? Only time will tell…

i-Dentify Yourself

Sigrid Agren is unstoppable. With a slew of editorials in the best magazines and her always impeccable runway presence she’s becoming one of the industry’s signature blondes. An i-D cover (on the 300th issue no less) is simply the icing on the cake for a girl who seems poised for every success. We love the snapshop feel of each picture, just a little undone and wild the way an i-D cover should be.
