Georgia On My Mind…

March 26th, 2009 |Posted by Janelle

When someone describes a model has having pouty lips, gap teeth, lush waves of blonde hair and an altogether enviable figure they are usually talking about the incomparable Lara Stone. While no one can really compete with the queen of high fashion sexy we can’t help but think of Lara when we look at the baby-faced Georgia May Jagger.  With her very sensual curves and youthful charm she represents a kinder, gentler version of the Bardot-esque allure. In the April edition of Vogue Russia Matt Irwin captures the Brit teen looking sultry as she poses in Spring’s girliest minis.

Go Wildcats!

If you are old enough not to get the reference point of this entry title then you may not have heard of the phenomenon that is Zac Efron. Ask the nearest 12 year old and they will expound in great detail on the importance of all things Zefron.

When the current king of teen zeitgeist was looking to sex up his squeaky clean image he turned to the considerable talents of Mikael Jansson and the team at Interview. Naturally there was only one model with the kind of raw earthy appeal necessary to dirty the most pristine teen idol on earth. Edita Vilkeviciute plays minx to Zac’s boyish charmer, wearing nothing but a coy look as they wrestle in the mud. While she may be a year younger than Zac, she is clearly the more worldly party in their steamy pictures.

With such a provocative performance it’s no wonder that Edita is suddenly all the rage in the mainstream press. Extra, Access Hollywood, even the the stodgy Fox News are all scrambling to find out more about the Lithuanian beauty. Wonderful news since there really is no one more deserving of a major pop culture moment or more primed for  a crossover.

For even more Edita check out Interview Magazine.

The latest GQ Style is out in London and judging by the images pouring in, the UK continues to win as the hotbed of progressive men’s fashion editorials. Brand new face (and MDC former MOTW) Alan Carey appears on a unconventional and optimistic cover by Chad Pitman hailing an Obama led new America. One of our favorite newcomers David Agbodji is featured inside alongside Alan as well as Brittain Ward, Callum Turner, Kerry Degman, Oliver Cheshire, Tyler Riggs and Zach Ferry. The surprise appearance of’s Madeline Kragh is a fantastic casting choice for the story United State. We can’t wait for the issue to hit stateside!

Lonesome Dove

Siri Tollerod is an unlikely choice to play cowgirl. With her refined features and waifish presence she is more at home in couture than on the range but Camilla Akrans brings out the western flair in the Norwegian beauty for Numero. Siri’s natural finesse coupled with the ethereal quality Akrans brings to every picture makes for a visual treat. The soft pink tones and expressive lighting are an Akrans trademark but the attitude and elegance are pure Siri.
