Supernormal

August 13th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (Art Partner) ditch their superglossy style in favor of the naturalistic in this picturesque story from W Magazine‘s star studded September issue. The glamour is still there (it’s hard to shoot a cast this gorgeous without infusing some glamour into the images) but the focus is on the normal, unfussy charm of t-shirts, jeans and hoodies. Led by Kate Moss the beautiful cast poses understated pieces chosen by Edward Enninful, stripped of the gowns and finery the group looks at completely at ease – more like a gathering of good friends than a group of the world’s top models. Daria Werbowy, Mariacarla Boscono, Raquel Zimmermann, Saskia de Brauw, Lara Stone, Suvi Koponen, Meghan Collison, Anna Ewers, Mica Arganaraz, Daan van der Deen, Filip Hrivnak and Steve Milatos make for a gorgeous group – especially in the shots where they’re sporting skivvies and smiles.

A Simple Touch

August 13th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Eva Herzigova never fails to bring a special quality to all her images and in Yelena Yemchuk‘s dreamy story for Vogue Italia, the supermodel is at her mesmerizing best. Posing in dainty pieces from Dior accented with Charlotte Olympia clutches and retro shades Eva is the ultimate vintage blonde. Cathy Kasterine‘s artful styling brings a 60s sensibility Yemchuk’s imagery, but the industrial backdrop of powerlines provides unexpected contrast to the ladylike fashions.

Russh’s Mysterious Ways

August 12th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Russh‘s free-spirited and feminine issues have long been favorites amongst the fashion set, so their September issue is among the most hotly anticipated. Starting with a fresh shot of Sabrina Ioffreda in a textured look from Céline the issue plunges head first in to the season’s fashion obsessions. Centering around the theme of mystique – the unexplainable quality that all truly great muses and stars possess – the issue ponders mystery in the age of the overshare. Fittingly each model featured has a degree of mystery about her from the arresting Sabrina, to the elegant Zlata Mangafic who poses in the season’s trendiest wares.

Candidly Naomi

August 11th, 2014 |Posted by Janelle

Naomi Campbell heads back to her South London hometown with Bruce Weber at her side for an inspired British Vogue editorial. The supermodel returns to her roots walking down the streets she frequented as a kid and posing alongside the next generation of top talent including Malaika Firth, Riley Montana and Alewya Demmisse. Dreamers

August 6th, 2014 |Posted by models.com

Here’s to all the dreamers! Santiago & Mauricio Sierra (Cadence New York) create an otherworldly portrait of modern youth for Love Magazine with their trippy film ‘Dreamers’ starring Natalie Westling, Abiah Hostvedt, Pauline Hoarau, Gabriel Marques and Chris Davis (casting by Larissa Gunn). The eclectic cast skateboards and glides through a surreal suburban landscape complete with McDonalds golden arches looming in the distance. As the models move through the scene a haunting rendition of ‘Mad World’ plays in the background, highlighting the familiar yet slightly off-kilter vibe of the whole clip.

Vogue Australia.

September’s model domination of magazine covers continues with a stellar showing from down under. Vogue Australia’s simple and effortless image is a testament to less is more – when you have an incredible model, great photographers and a choice piece from Nicolas Ghesquière‘s Louis Vuitton collection you need nothing more.
