Friday, February 12th, looks to be a jam packed day with fashion people thinking outside the insular bubble in which it normally exists. 2 events are happening: Alessandra Ambrosio and Coco Rocha’s Open Your Heart Benefit for Lakay Pam and Naomi Cambell’s Fashion For Relief show (click banner below to buy tickets). We’ll be there to lend our support, will you?

We are huge fans too. Raquel Zimmermann is an icon..

David Sims shoots Gisele for Colcci post baby with the delicious Danny Schwarz. Yet another reason to be jealous of Ms. Bundchen.

Photography and Miscellaneous:

Are you getting paid to come to a fashion show? We are not.

The new book about the house of Versace looks to be pretty darn juicy.

We adore Contributing Editor’s behind the scenes story from backstage at Milan, shot by a model (Julian Schratter) who’s also a photographer.

Lope Navo scores another big interview after Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and Arnaldo Anaya Lucca. Here he interviews super photo agent Jed Root.

This very second, models from around the world are descending in droves upon NYC. One young man who doesn’t have far to travel is 17 year old Briane (pronounced Brian) Hatcher from Queens, New York. Casting director Michelle Lee is a fan of the music loving student booking him 2 consecutive seasons for the Marc by Marc Jacobs shows. With the appearance of his first major campaign and set to model full time this summer, it looks like it’s going to be quite a year for Mr. Hatcher.

Modeling News:
MTC Casting celebrates diversity on the runway with the new crop of Asian girls. We love it.

If you haven’t seen the new sensual film by Bruce Weber for YSL with Simon Nessman, Paolo Anchisi, Terron Wood and Josh Yajcaji, here it is on VGL. (Definitely NSFW)

Interview Magazine catches up Bronx boy and Marc by Marc model, Yuri Pleskun.

Rodarte has Ethan James on their minds (and shirt).

Ralph Lauren helps Haiti with a special shirt worn by Pierre Woods. If there’s every a time, fashion could help, it would be now.

Fans of Belgium model Cesar Casier: he has a blog with a darn witty name.

Eniko Mihalik, our former MOTW, is featured in W’s “This Week’s Model”. We love her.

Man eye candy (mandy?) for the day: Made in Brazil’s Speedo boy on video. Speaking of beautiful Brazilian boys here’s a whole bunch at 40 Graus by Didio.

If you missed the lovely Frida Gustavsson on Ponyryder, read about the Swedish stunner here.

Fashion and Photography News:

Like Interview and Style.com, we are OBSESSED with JPG’s couture collection, this dress and this girl.

Saverio Cardia who did the fabulous special project on 20 of the top male models, is interviewed by the Fucked Up Crew in Milan.

One photographer interviews another. Lope Navo interviews Arnaldo Anaya Lucca, one of Ralph Lauren’s favorite photographers. Fascinating story of how Arnaldo got to where he is now.

We love Armani Exchange’s share the love campaign.. So inclusive and so HOT.

Miscellaneous:

Yes Marie-Amelie Sauve is genius… Sans Artifice agrees too.

Here’s a link to Golden Globe winner, Mo’Nique who dedicates her award to victims of child abuse. “”The number of victims who never reveal their secret or who wait many years to do so is very high. This is regrettable because the longer they wait to reveal the abuse, the harder and more enduring the consequences will be.”

Adrien in Raf Simons, Charlie in Hermes, Robbie in YSL. (images from catwalking.com via tFS)

The men’s designers in Paris have spoken and their favorite models are the next generation of top faces. Adrien Sahores (one of the Prada campaign faces), after a small but stellar showing in Milan, exploded in the City of Lights booking more than 10 of the top brands. Following close on his heels are 2 other former newcomers to watch, Charlie France, who was available for the first time on the open market after his 2 seasons of exclusivity, and Robbie Wadge, another Englishman blessed with the elfin boyish beauty favored this season in France.

1-Charlie France
2-Bastiaan Ninaber
3-Benoni Loos
4-Jakob Hybholt
5-William Eustace
6-Matvey Lykov
7-Philipp Bierbaum
8-Robbie Wadge
9-Nicolas Ripoll
10-Simon Nessman
